Goals Using Cultivate What Matters #PowerSheets

The trouble with not having a goal is that you can spend your life running up and down the field and never score.
— –Bill Copeland

A bit of a confession:

I’m a survivor of clinical and chronic depression. As such, there was a time in my life where I refused to live by goals. It was in reaction to having lived a life as an overachiever with many goals growing up and then getting crushed by the reality of life. To be fair, I had untreated anxiety, probably going back to elementary school, and untreated depression to early high school years.

It’s only since 2020 and using the Cultivate What Matters Powersheets Intentional Goal Planner that I’ve begun to embrace goals again and do so in a realistic way that allows for imperfection and slow growth.

Please allow me to share my March goals and how I’m using my #Powersheets to make (little-by-little) progress!

Last year I chose to use the floral (Citrus Garden) style cover Powersheets Goal Planner. This year, I chose the blue (Clear Skies) one.

In fact, I actually purchased a bundle when the 2021 Collection was released. I chose to get the Custom bundle, and you can still purchase a Custom Six-Month Powersheets Bundle and save between $19-$25!

Using Color-Coding Markers

I’ve received compliments about how colorful my writing is in my planner this year. It took me a few months, but I finally ordered the color-coding marker set. These do not disappoint!

Each color corresponds to a different yearly goal, and then I use the same color for each monthly mini-goal that relates to that particular yearly goal.

It’s helpful to keep track of what goals are being tended to and which ones are getting more or less attention.

I think purchasing these Color-Coding Markers was one of the best purchases I made for the planner!

Look how beautiful it is to write with these babies!

Last year I just used my gel pens with my planner. The problem with that is the pens would dry out, and then trying to color-code was impossible as the colors wouldn’t match.

I think purchasing these markers was one of the best purchases I made for the planner!

Month in Review

(always on the back of the month’s tending list)

People I’m grateful for and why:

  1. Kim: She is the sweetest and the most supportive of my endeavors, especially my business. I miss seeing her. It’s been so long due to the pandemic!

  2. Jackie: She’s a great sister-in-law. I appreciate her love, acceptance, and her generous spirit.

We can never take the people we love for granted!

Good Things this Month:

Lovely Romantic Valentine’s Dinner plus a movie at home.

See Favorite Memories for more.

What I read or listened to:

Since I started reading book summaries and “blinks,” I have a long list. So I wrote up all the ones I’ve read on a Wildcard Page to keep track.

Goals that are going well:

  1. Manifesting affirmations commitment

  2. Reading

  3. Getting up earlier

I’m choosing grace over guilt about:

the goals that I’ve made slow progress on.

Favorite memories this month:

  1. Warm day walk with Dave and Friday

  2. Working with Jocelyn on her nursery

  3. Making new online friends

I’m saying no to:

procrastination

I’m saying yes to:

good habits

As you know from last month, it was one of my goals to organize under the bathroom sink. I did do research but haven’t ordered the products yet. I plan to finish this task in March. Then in April, I can begin the Kitchen island cabinets! Also, my husband’s office area needs organizing, which needs to be added to the list.
